A bohemian beach of tender sweet nothings for a lovely couple who traveled from the other side of the Earth to spend their special day on the island of Rhodes in Greece. Emma and Martin are originally from England but live and work in Australia and for the past two years the effects of the coronavirus have removed them from their loved ones.
When it came to planning the wedding, it was clear for them from the begging that they wanted to spend their wedding day along the sea with the laughs and love of their closest friends and family. They decided to reach out to Golden Apple Weddings that found them the perfect spot for their dream wedding.
They decided to cross the seas and to have the destination wedding of their dreams at Mea Terra venue in the south part of Rhodes island. At Mea Terra the scenic views and the sound of the sea can captivate you while the earthy luxe interior makes up the perfect setting for a chic bohemian affair like this one. The couple enjoyed every moment from choosing this idyllic place for the preparation and execution, but also for their wedding reception.
For Emma and Martin, a color palette of mint with pastel pink and purple details, was the one that fit best to their overall bohemian wedding. The olive leaves added to the Greek Mediterranean elements while the purple headers occupied a special place in both the decoration and in the bride’s heart since they were her mother's favorites.
Instead of the traditional one color for bridesmaids, the bridesmaids chose three different hues gowns that fit within the color theme and had a effortless summer feel. Emma chose a simple airy white dress with a low back which gave it that overstated look. Kay Creation is responsible for all the things botany, created a out-of-a-fairytale bouquet with purple and pink garden roses which gave a note of romance. The dashing groom Martyn and his groomsmen chose a bohemian look pairing brown short pants with a white shirt, bow tie and suspenders to align with the overall theme of the wedding and fit perfectly into the summer landscape.
Walking through the beach aisle full of elevated details and wooden signs with personalized notes for the guests leading them to the ceremony site. A wooden arch of rich foliage and purple and pink blooms was placed against the Mediterranean sea creating a garden inspired style while whimsical floor arrangements lined the aisle together with the understated rustic guests chairs. The friends of the couple were singing the couple's favorite songs while the bride was walking down the aisle. Everyone was grateful that they managed to attend this special day.
When the ceremony was over, the newlywed posed for portraits while guests enjoyed a welcome cocktail under the canopy of fairy lights in company of a live saxophone. The reception place welcomed everyone with centerpiece flower arrangements and gold tea light on each table. The bridal table stood out from afar with an impressive long garland of flower arrangements that starred in this bohemian beach wedding. The couple cut the wedding cake and marked the beginning of the party with a spectacular fireworks display under the stars that followed in a dance floor full of fairy lights leaving everyone speechless.
