While the wedding world is developing into smaller and intimate wedding celebrations we love how couples transform their special day into micro-weddings and destination elopements. Marijo and Patrick have been together for the past 10 years, living and working in the USA with their children. Their love for Greece led them to search the internet so to find the perfecr spot for their elopement. A simple internet browsing became their reason to start planning the day of their dreams.
Τhe fact that they are both doctors meant that their time is precious and limited. The couple only expressed their love for the color blue, which was a key pillar of the event’s color palette and all the mesmerizing details and emotional moments were brought to life by Golden Apple Weddings planning and design team. The color palette featured dusty blue and moss color scheme with pops of vibrant blues and whites. Before the ceremony the couple shared a first look at the villa and wedding photographer Sotiris Tsakanikas surpassed himself in capturing one of the most memorable and emotional moments.
The majestic sea view from the whitewashed Agia Sofia chapel where the couple tied the knot created a atmosphere of grace. Kay creation floralized the space with an statement-making arch filled with baby blue hyndrangea blooms and white chrysanthemums that let the setting shine. Marijo's daughters stood by her side as bridesmaids, wearing dusty blue dresses to match to the wedding scheme. The pair exchanged hand-written vows and sealed their union with a kiss. After the exchange of vows ,the couple had an ardent desire to be photographed in remarkable parts of the island overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and with the beautiful backdrop of historic buildings.
Marijo's and Patrick's wedding reception took place in the Bello Blu Luxury villa. The al fresco reception with serene ocean views along with the opulent landscape perfectly play into the tablescape. The rustic wooden chairs lined the long table where a tablecloth with a blue pattern added an elegant accent. At the place settings, silver cutleries sparkled next to the vintage plates with the gold rhythm and napkins in dark blue were placed beneath the plates. The dinner was set up beneath the fairy light covered tree of the villa and in the center was a lush long floral centerpiece.
A private chef prepared a special dinner for the couple and their family who created a culinary exposure of the Greek cuisine. As in every wedding ceremony, a petite cake from Trizeli confections was accented with gold foil and waver florals to add texture. The evening came to an end with the whole family dancing by the swimming pool.
