The family of Daphne hosted a peacock theme christening at Profitis Ilias Chapel. The whitewashed chapel is build on the top of a mountain with panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea that makes everyone instantly fall in love. It is known that around the chapel peacock call it a home which was where the initial inspiration came from.

In Rhodes Island there are many beautiful chapels around that can be the perfect backdrop for summer weddings or christenings like that! What makes this chapel unique is the access to the hill! The views are breathtaking and to get there needs special organization when reaching to the last meters up to the hill. This is where the Golden Apple team organized a nice flow so all guests would reach the church on the easiest way. Upon their arrival on the main parking, small luxurious mini buses were waiting to drive the guests to the hill.

The incredible colorful suite came in a box with a personal hand written invitation and matching clay coasters preparing guests for a memorable fete. The ceremony took place in front of Profitis Ilias Chapel with the sunshine pouring down on everyone. Purple linen and two small bouquet flowers of greenery decorated the baptismal font. All floral displays were sourced locally from Kay Creations and included hydrangea, lysianthus and bleached peacock feathers.

After the ceremony guests went over to the refreshment stand to have a class of lemonade, water or peacock liqueur while vivid colors and peacock touches completed the exotic decoration. As candy never goes out of style, guests enjoyed some sweets from the modern upscale candy buffet. The handmade candies, cupcakes, macaroons and small cakes were in the vivid color scheme of blue, purple and green hues and looked as if they were swirled with peacock dust while paper cones with Daphe's name were given to the guests to put their sweets in.

Golden Apple Weddings created a kids' corner placing handcrafted favors and candies that were shipped in from the USA. The favors were made especially for the little ones and included a drawing sketch block decorated with a peacock feather which was the perfect gift to send home with the guests after the ceremony.

Events are not only about pink or blue when comes to the color palette! We love using all type of colors and creating unique combinations! “Think out of the box” is always a must and results like that makes us really happy!
