K & A - AUSTRALIAN WEDDING IN GREECE

Kristina &Andrew

Kristina and Andrew’s wedding was a nostalgic, vintage-inspired celebration filled with emotion and heritage. The couple traveled from Australia to Greece, honoring Kristina’s roots with a heartfelt destination wedding in Rhodes. Personal details defined the day, including bouquet charms with photos from her grandparents’ weddings and florals rich in symbolism—orchids in tribute to her grandmothers and chrysanthemums honoring her yiayia Chrysanthi.

Their love story, rooted in cycling, inspired a custom wedding logo featuring a bicycle wheel blended with Greek olive branches and African elements, reflecting Andrew’s South African background. The hashtag #saffagreekwed accompanied their journey to the altar.

The ceremony took place at St. Paul’s Chapel, a small white chapel by the sea that captured their hearts instantly. Olive garlands, orchids, wooden candlesticks, a rice bar with olive leaves, and a refreshing lemon stand created an elegant yet authentic Greek atmosphere.

The reception followed at Tambakio, a romantic seaside venue. Long tables were styled with pottery arrangements, gold cutlery, blue glassware, and velvet menus with gold foiling, blending nobility with Mediterranean charm.

A wedding rich in symbolism, culture, and refined design—an emotional celebration that beautifully connected past and present.
