Kristina and Joaquin cancelled their nuptials in their home country in 2020 due to the pandemic and opted for another type of celebration one year later, a destination elopement in Greece. These two lovebirds had a symbolic venue in mind of their destination fete which was Lindos Memories hotel on Rhodes Island. Kristina had originally purchased her wedding dress for the celebration they had planned in Munich, it was an ivory gown with a v-back and lace on the skirt that felt absolutely perfect for the island location. The groom wore a simple and sophisticated light grey suit with tie and a white shirt. The bride's desire to wear the wedding dress of her dreams was the occasion for the couple to plan an elopement on the island of Rhodes together with their made of honor and best man.
Golden Apple weddings planned this beautiful day using hues which complemented the natural surroundings while guided the duo to create a truly inspiring chic bohemian elopement. The color palette included beige, blush, ivory and sunburned pastel colors. Kay Creations incorporated into the flower arrangements baby breath in white and gold, dusty pink and beige garden roses and the pampas grass old-time favorite trend.
After a few months into planning the couple informed us that the maid of honor and best man were not able to attend their destination wedding. Although they may not have been able to attend they made sure to be present in their own way by reaching out to us with two songs that they had write to the couple for the ceremony as a surprise.
The sandy beach of the hotel and magnificent sea view created the most romantic backdrop for Kristina and Joaquin wedding ceremony. Kay Creation florists created round-shaped pampas grass arch with a aisle of jute rugs and glass vases filled with pampas grass and baby breath leafs. The couple shared a sweet and emotional first look as Kristina walked down the aisle. The newly-married couple had their first dance after exchanging their handwritten vows. After the ceremony the couple went together with the wedding photographer Stelios Kalisperis to Lindos village for a short photo shooting session during the golden hour. The traditional alleys and the magnificent view of the whitewashed village gave the photographer and the couple the opportunity to capture perfectly the newlywed couple.
Lindos Memories hotel hosted both, the romantic ceremony and their dinner for two. The couple look on their face when seeing their dinner setup for the first time was one of our favorite memories of the day. We created a illuminate tablescape under the white gazebo with a hanging installations of Rattan light that gave a note of modern romance to the overall themed table while overlooking the Mediterranean sea. The tablescape featured a long monastery table with two wooden rustic chairs. On the table was placed a beige table linen topped with terracotta candle holders, beautiful gold cutleries and rattan flatware with the personalized printed menus of the duo. The tabletop's focal point was the centerpiece that featured garden roses in blush and ivory tones, white and gold baby breath as well as pampas grass leafs which tied together all of the natural elements that surrounded the couple. The couple enjoyed a dinner by candlelight and tasted the menu of their choice that was specially cooked by the executive chef of the hotel.
