A whimsy and glam destination wedding that took place a year after its initial planning was that of Euaggelia and Andreas. Everything was planned and on track when the couple got the word that they had to postpone their wedding due to the coronavirus pandemic, extending their engagement for another year. The gorgeous duo came from Cyprus with the dream of getting married on the island of their hearts, Rhodes. The bride has a special connection with the island as she visited it with her parents every summer since she was little. With the destination being set, the couple turned to none other than Golden Apple Weddings to design their undeniable elegant destination wedding with carefully curated details.
The day started with the preparation of the bride in a private villa together with her family and bridesmaids. The bride, a lover of timeless and chic style amazed in a her tailor made gown which perfectly complemented the elegance of the wedding scheme. The groom followed the traditions and got ready at another villa and this was just the begging to an all-around fairytale wedding day. The photos of the this special day are a real gem, the entire day was captured in the beautiful imagery of Louis Gabriel who is known for the "golden tone photos" which look like another era and give a vintage note of romance.
A picturesque little white chapel served as the backdrop for the couples nuptials. The ceremony took place in one of the most romantic and scenic chapels of the island in the St. Paul's bay. Suspended floral installations and jaw-dropping views of the sea were waiting for the guests at the chapel. From all the flowers in the world roses are the most romantic ones and this is what played a central role in Euaggelias and Andreas wedding. All floral arrangements and rentals were styled by Kay Creation designers. The corridors of the chapel were decorated with two long gold bases adorned with blush and ivory roses and greenery. Next to the chapel we created a refreshment station of lemonades and water with the initials of the couple on mirror tabletop that took care the thirst of the guests who despite the heat of the day wanted to attend the couple's most important day. A little further on, we placed uneven stands were guests could help themselves to traditional melekouni and rice in cones. It was an incredible celebration of two wonderful people finding each other, surrounded by friends and family.
The reception took place at Mea Terra, a venue that marries the natural beauty of its surroundings with an ethereal view of the sea while setting the tone to this elegant and ultra-romantic wedding. Guests were greeted at the venue with a seating chard placed under the Canopy of fairy lights which intended as the welcome area for guests to enjoy a drink before being led to their tables. The tables were placed on a specially designed white deck on the sand in front of the restaurant with the couple's initials while the canopy of fairy lights created an dreamy sky.
The tables were set with low round centerpieces of subtle pink roses and candles that paired so well with the white table linens and gold details. The sand of the beach was covered with candles that were lit at night, every detail was picture perfect. The whole aesthetic of the wedding complimented the location. What stood out the most was the two-storey centerpiece flower arrangement of roses that was placed on the bridal table. Behind the bridal table was a long wooden monastery table filled with gold and white candles as well as flowers that created an even more mesmerizing effect. The couple made their entrance while fireworks lit up the sky, followed by the cutting of the impressive wedding cake, an edible art from Trizeli Confections.
